Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound phone calls from customers, providing information and assistance regarding health care insurance options, and helping them navigate the enrollment process.
- Update customer and account information as needed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed case records, notating the purpose of each call and any subsequent actions.
- Utilize multiple database applications to access relevant information, resolve customer inquiries, and provide solutions.
- Respond to general customer inquiries, addressing concerns and providing timely resolutions.
- Strive to meet performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth opportunities.
- Remain open to feedback, using it as a catalyst for growth and development.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; college attendance or degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare-related environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in computer applications, with the ability to learn and understand health insurance policy and terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with customers and coworkers.
- The capacity to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task, utilizing multiple computer applications while interacting with customers.
- Flexibility, reliability, and availability for occasional overtime as needed.
- The ability to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.
- A commitment to completing 3 weeks of class training and 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) without missing any time.
