Summary The PJM FTR Trader will actively manage the buying and selling of Financial Transmission Rights (FTRs) within the PJM market. This role is responsible for developing and executing congestion-based trading strategies, optimizing portfolio value, driving consistent P&L performance, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with PJM market rules and regulatory standards. Duties & Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze PJM congestion dynamics, transmission constraints, outages, and market rule changes • Develop and execute PJM FTR trading strategies across annual, long-term, and monthly auctions • Construct and manage an FTR portfolio, including position sizing, hedging, and risk management • Execute trades and submit bids/offers using PJM auction platforms and internal trading systems • Actively manage risk exposure, including position limits, VaR, scenario analysis, and stress testing • Maintain detailed P&L attribution, auction performance analysis, and portfolio reporting • Collaborate closely with physical power, virtual trading, risk, credit, and operations teams • Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and market participants • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior traders and analysts; contribute to continuous improvement of trading processes Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field • 5+ years of direct PJM FTR trading experience • Strong understanding of PJM market structure, congestion, LMP mechanics, and auction processes • Proven ability to generate consistent, risk-adjusted P&L • Strong quantitative and analytical skills Apply tot his job
