About the Role
I’m a CPA who works primarily with online business owners, creators, and service-based businesses. I’m looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional to support both bookkeeping and tax work as my practice continues to grow.
This is not a one-off contract role. I’m looking for someone who wants consistent part-time work, enjoys clean systems, and cares about doing things the right way.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
• Monthly bookkeeping and cleanup work (primarily QuickBooks Online)
• Reviewing client financials for accuracy and completeness
• Preparing or assisting with individual and small business tax returns (1040s, Schedule C, 1120-S, 1065)
• Assisting with estimated tax calculations
• Helping identify missing information or red flags before returns are filed
• Communicating clearly and professionally around questions or issues (internally, not client-facing at first)
You don’t need to do all of these on day one — this role can grow with the right person.
Who This Is a Good Fit For
You’ll likely be a great fit if you:
• Are a CPA, EA, or experienced bookkeeper with tax exposure
• Have hands-on experience with small businesses (not just theory)
• Are comfortable with QuickBooks Online
• Understand how bookkeeping connects to tax outcomes
• Are detail-oriented and don’t cut corners
• Communicate clearly and ask questions when something doesn’t look right
• Prefer calm, organized workflows over last-minute chaos
Nice-to-Have (But Not Required)
• Experience with online business owners or service-based businesses
• Familiarity with TaxDome or similar client management systems
• Prior experience supporting another CPA or tax firm
• Interest in growing with a small practice long-term
How I Work
I care deeply about accuracy, ethics, and clarity. I don’t use aggressive or questionable tax strategies, and I’m very intentional about doing things in a way that would stand up to scrutiny.
If you like clean books, thoughtful tax work, and steady expectations — you’ll probably enjoy working here.
