They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I to design mechanical systems and components, develop 3D models, and ensure compliance with design specifications while mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling
- Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product
- Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team
- Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and/or components against applicable codes & standards
- Prepare clear and concise design reports and technical specifications
Skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0 to 2 minimum years of relevant experience, recent new graduates without experience will be considered
