Job Title: HR Workday Implementation Architect
Location: Milwaukee, WI / Remote
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Implementation Architect with strong expertise in HR systems to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Workday solutions across a global organization. This role requires strategic and technical leadership to ensure Workday solutions align with business objectives and HR operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
• Lead the architecture and design of Workday HR solutions, including Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Talent & Performance, and Time Tracking modules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand HR processes and translate them into scalable Workday configurations.
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and integration standards.
Implementation Leadership
• Act as the primary architect during Workday implementation projects, overseeing configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Provide best practice recommendations and mentor internal HRIS and functional teams.
• Partner with system integrators to ensure deliverables meet design specifications and timelines.
Integration & Data Migration
• Design integration strategies between Workday and other enterprise systems (ERP, payroll, benefits platforms).
• Oversee data migration planning, mapping, and validation.
Change Management & Training
• Collaborate with HR leadership to develop change management and training strategies.
• Support knowledge transfer to internal teams for post-implementation operations.
Continuous Improvement
• Recommend Workday feature adoption based on product releases.
• Identify opportunities to optimize HR processes through automation and analytics.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master s preferred).
• 7+ years in HRIS, including 5+ years in Workday design and implementation with 1 2 full-cycle implementations.
• Proven experience as a Workday Solution Architect or Lead Consultant.
• Strong understanding of HR processes.
• Proficiency in Workday reporting, calculated fields, EIB, and integration tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Workday certifications in relevant modules preferred.
