Role Description
Join Amgen’s Mission of Serving Patients. This role involves participating in a 10 – 13-week internship program that offers meaningful project experiences impacting patients' lives.
• Work closely with a senior-level statistician on clinical trials and/or nonclinical research.
• Participate in executive and social networking events.
• Engage in community volunteer projects.
• Present a summary of work completed at the conclusion of the internship.
Qualifications
• 18 years or older
• Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university
• Completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
• Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship/co-op
Requirements
• Pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
• In the process of completing the third year of current program
• Proficiency in SAS or R on either a UNIX or NT platform
• Ability to lead and deliver results in an interactive matrixed environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills, relationship building, and leadership skills
