MWM DesignGroup is a leading design firm in Austin, seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join their team. The role involves key responsibilities in accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the corporate credit card program, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Apply deposits to client invoices and research discrepancies
- Assist with collections and AR reporting for Management
- Review and process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
- Prepare AP reports and disbursements on a bi-weekly basis
- Maintain multiple shared email inboxes
- Conduct credit card reconciliations; assist with bank reconciliations
- Assist in identifying and/or developing efficient accounting processes, policies, and procedures
- Other general accounting tasks/projects as assigned
Skills
- Minimum education: Associate degree in accounting
- Accounting experience (1-2 years)
- Microsoft Office Suite (1-2 years)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent time management, communication, and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and with a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (40-hour work week)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- AEC experience a plus!
