Key Responsibilities

• Enter both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Review data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correct any data entry errors or duplications.
• Follow data program security practices and procedures at all times, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Routinely secure information by completing database backup daily, ensuring that all data is safe and up-to-date.
• Perform other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times, adhering to HIPAA regulations and company policies.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in a medical office preferred but not required, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and records management.
• MUST be tech-savvy and detail-oriented, with excellent computer skills and knowledge of multiple software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
• Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M., with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
