- Creating accurate spreadsheets and entering and updating information into relevant databases
- Ensuring data is backed up and stored securely
- Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered and providing solutions
- Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to optimize retrieval
- Handling additional duties from time to time and being adaptable to changing priorities
- Typing in data provided directly by customers and creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
- Verifying data by comparing it to source documents and updating existing data
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested and performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Essential Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a related field
- Fast typing skills and knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
