About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a remote employee, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S., working a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST. You must be available to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours and may be required to work occasional overtime to meet business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of internal and external factors that may drive caller questions and issues, such as recent plan changes, mass mailings, call directing, and weather emergencies
• Ask targeted questions and listen actively to identify underlying questions and issues, utilizing root cause analysis techniques
• Gather relevant data and information, performing initial investigations to determine the scope and depth of questions and issues
• Identify and coordinate internal resources across multiple departments to address client situations, escalating to appropriate resources as needed
• Proactively contact external resources, such as providers, labs, and brokers, to address caller questions and issues
• Utilize knowledge resources, including websites, CRM tools, and product manuals, to drive resolution of applicable questions and issues
• Communicate steps and solutions to caller questions and issues, using problem-solving skills and established guidelines
• Offer additional options to provide solutions and positive outcomes for callers, such as online access to relevant information and additional plan benefits
• Make outbound calls to resolve caller questions and issues, driving first-call resolution and one-and-done solutions
• Ensure proper documentation of caller questions and issues, including research conducted, steps required, and final resolution

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that enable you to provide exceptional customer service and support. The following qualifications are required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ years of experience in a related environment, such as office, administrative, clerical, or customer service, using phones and computers as primary job tools
• Health care experience with primary or specialty appointments, or health plans
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to work any of our full-time, 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Experience working with EPIC system
• Experience working in a remote position

Telecommuting Requirements

To work remotely with blithequark, you must meet the following requirements:

• Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Must live in a location that can receive a blithequark-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
• Ability to connect directly to the internet via a hard wire (either directly to modem or router)
• Adherence to blithequark's Telecommuter Policy

Compensation and Benefits

At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary range of $16.00 - $27.69 per hour, based on full-time employment. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
