About the Role
We're on the hunt for a full-time Customer Service Representative to work remotely from the comfort of their own home in Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll be the voice of blithequark, engaging with our customers, resolving issues, and providing top-notch support. If you're a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a love for pets, we'd love to have you on board. Our starting wage is $15.50 per hour, with plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your skills while working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide product recommendations
- Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
- Operate with empathy, kindness, and understanding, utilizing active listening skills to provide exceptional customer experiences
- Collaborate with teammates, managers, and other stakeholders using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to a customer-centric culture
- Maintain a willingness to learn, sharing feedback and operating in a culture of open-mindedness and growth
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a remote or call center environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), with the ability to demonstrate these skills in a written assessment
- Ability to multi-task, navigate computer systems, and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation, and internet research
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong focus on adaptability, flexibility, and confidentiality
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet our technical requirements (see below)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a pet-related industry or with pets
- Experience with customer service software, CRM systems, or other relevant technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
Technical Requirements
- A dedicated workspace that is quiet, private, and free from distractions, with a reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10Mbps+ upload speed)
- A computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam (provided by blithequark)
- A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify
- Ability to test and meet our internet speed requirements (speedtest.net or by contacting your service provider)
