As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Our Bismarck Clinic is a Level 2 trauma center, providing state-of-the-art equipment and a dynamic work environment. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be part of a teaching facility and work with cutting-edge technology, including Fluoroscopy, Diagnostic X-Ray Imaging, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.
• Operate equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures and conduct image operations according to provider requests.
• Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.
• Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system and perform additional duties as assigned.
• May be required to perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registration with the ARRT.
• Licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) if working in North Dakota.
• Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health if working in Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (may be required within the first eight weeks of hire).
• Previous experience in a radiology department, particularly in a Level 2 trauma center.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art radiology equipment and technology.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to operate complex radiology equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

Sanford Health offers a competitive salary range of $24.00 - $34.50, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year work commitment. Our benefits package includes:
