Job Overview
In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach music lessons to a diverse population of students, both in our clean and safe studios and through online lessons. You will be responsible for communicating with parents of students on their progress, collaborating with our store team to maximize the lesson experience, and inspiring learning and creativity in the next generation of musicians. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, adapting your teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student
- Communicate effectively with parents of students, providing regular updates on progress and offering guidance on how to support their child's musical development
- Collaborate with store team to create a positive and supportive learning environment, maximizing the lesson experience for all students
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans, using a variety of teaching methods and materials to inspire learning and creativity
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in music education, continually seeking ways to improve your teaching skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Music or a related field, or equivalent substitutable experience
- 2 years of music teaching experience, with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Advanced degree in Music or a related field, with a specialization in music education or performance
- Experience teaching online lessons, with a strong understanding of digital music platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of music theory and history, with the ability to incorporate these elements into your teaching practice
