Key Responsibilities: Supporting Medication Management
- Perform a variety of tasks independently under the supervision of a pharmacist, supporting the medication management needs of our patients.
- Cross-train to cover various inpatient and outpatient areas within Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
- Rotate shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week.
- Utilize automated dispensing machines, medication carts, and other equipment as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of specialized equipment for assignments to areas such as OR/ER, Sterile Manufacturing, ACP, and Storeroom.
- Maintain accurate records and perform calculations involving ratios, proportions, and percentages as required.
- Respond to auditory alarms and communication devices, including telephones, beepers, and fire alarms.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Adequate computer skills to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to perform calculations and operate various equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and other pharmacy technology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
