The Role: Partner Sales Representative - Your Mission
As a Partner Sales Representative at DataStax, you'll be the driving force behind our channel sales strategy, fostering strong relationships with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to drive Gen AI adoption. Your mission will be to identify new sales opportunities, configure solutions for enterprises, and secure meetings for our sales colleagues. You'll be the bridge between DataStax and our partners, ensuring that our product features align with business benefits and that we're delivering value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster Gen AI developer engagement with AstraDB to build Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Registered Qualified Leads (RQLs) and revenue flywheel in your assigned region
- Implement CSP go-to-market plans and programs in support of business objectives for your region, driving sales growth and adoption
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CSPs, ISVs, and other ecosystem partners to drive business opportunities and revenue
- Target top accounts with campaigns, programs, and events, connecting developers and decision-makers with our field team
- Drive activities to foster business opportunities with CSP field teams, introducing integrations and strategic alignment efforts
- Collaborate with marketing, support, product, and other departments to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings
- Take responsibility for achieving business results, setting RQL and sales targets, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in partner sales or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strategic relationships. Here's what we're looking for:

- Proven experience in partner sales or a related role, with a strong understanding of the Cloud Native Software Industry
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to identify strategic partners and drive business opportunities
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a strong network of contacts in the industry
- Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proven track record of cross-functional success, collaborating with multiple teams to drive business outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Gen AI or AI/ML space, with a deep understanding of the ecosystem and key players
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and their go-to-market strategies
- Experience working with developer communities, with a passion for driving adoption and engagement
