About the Role: Model Risk Management Specialist We're seeking an exceptional Model Risk Management Specialist to join our Model Risk Management Group (MRMG) within the Global Risk and Compliance Group. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for independently overseeing model risk, specifically related to cutting-edge Gen AI (Large Language Models). Your expertise will help elevate model excellence, drive long-term shareholder value, and adapt to the evolving landscape of model development, external environment, and heightened regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: Direct independent oversight of enterprise-wide models with a focus on Gen AI (Large Language Models) and AI-based models for marketing, credit, fraud, or other business/risk types. Conduct gap assessments and establish robust frameworks to strengthen model risk controls and meet elevated regulatory standards. Lead AI/ML research to explore opportunities to enhance model excellence and drive business impact. Communicate results to partners, senior management, and other model councils. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering. 5+ years of experience in model risk management, risk management, or a related field, with a focus on AI/ML models. Advanced knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including Gen AI (Large Language Models) and their applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively. Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of AI/ML models on business outcomes. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering. 7+ years of experience in model risk management, risk management, or a related field, with a focus on AI/ML models. Professional certifications , such as FRM, CFA, or CAIA. Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as finance or banking.
