Key Responsibilities

- Match complaints to diagnoses using medical records, ensuring that reports are accurate and comprehensive.
- Research and correct dictated language using professional reference materials, ensuring that transcripts are concise, accurate, and understandable.
- Identify and flag charts with inconsistencies or errors, notifying the Team Lead for assistance and correction.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, including demographic information and transcription data.
- Meet minimum daily line requirements as directed, working efficiently to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Utilize transcription-specific software products and Microsoft applications to produce and edit transcripts.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; formal training through an accredited transcription program is highly preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a medical transcriptionist in a hospital, urgent care facility, or medical specialty; experience in a fast-paced, high-volume transcription environment is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices, including formatting and style requirements.
- Excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style, with the ability to produce high-quality, error-free transcripts.
- Proficiency in a range of Microsoft applications and software products, as well as transcription-specific software.
