Job Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator - Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution processes. You'll be responsible for accurately logging trailer information, managing yard operations, and coordinating with various teams to ensure efficient delivery and pickup of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Trailer Logging and Yard Management: Check in and log trailer status, including trailer number, seal number, trailer status (full or empty), tractor number, load number, date, and time.
- Inbound and Outbound Trailer Management: Review all inbound and outbound trailers on log sheets, dispatch loads into warehouse, transportation, and yard management systems.
- Yard Checks and Inventory Management: Conduct daily yard checks, reconcile yard checks with yard stock, and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Communication and Coordination: Schedule and communicate trailer movements to switchers, dock managers, and transportation planners, direct drivers to designated areas in the yard.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork, records, and documentation, maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Workplace Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean, safe work environment, ensure a consistent flow of traffic into the facility.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Administration and Warehousing Experience: Previous experience in administration, warehousing, or fulfillment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other administrative/organizational tools.
- Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service Orientation: A strong customer service inclination is essential.
- Multitasking and Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- English Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Computer Skills: Ability to use a PC keyboard, monitor, phone headset, and phone system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work all shifts and remain at work longer than required as needed.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours.
- Dependability and Attendance: Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position.
