Job Overview and Responsibilities
As an IT Business Analyst - IT Offices, you will play a critical role in providing IT administration, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of our airport communication spaces. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, including server farms, data centers, and remote communication rooms. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing IT administration and support for all site implementations, inventories, framework planning, and maintenance activities
- Managing and coordinating with professional services responsible for basic infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms
- Developing and implementing standards for server farm and remote communication room space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure
- Supporting IT Offices campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of our Atlanta airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring
- Project managing server farm and remote communication room standards capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements
- Ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and policies
- Providing proactive and break-fix support for alert/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, lab, and server farm hardware
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering
- Strong knowledge of server farm technology and basic facilities infrastructure
- Project management experience, preferably in a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints
- Flexibility to support an operation with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements
- Strong focus on safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will give you an upper hand in this role:
- Four-year degree or 5 or more years of relevant experience
- IT project management experience with a minimum of 3 years in a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment
- Experience with capital budgeting and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
- Knowledge of space, UPS power, and basic cooling capacity management
- Experience with the selection of facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, getting best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual commitments
