As an Information Technology Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's technology infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive end-user support for applications, desktops, and laptops, both in-office and remote, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Setup, deploy, and decommission servers, desktops, and laptops according to the firm's security standards and policies, maintaining a high level of security and compliance.
- Manage user accounts, including new setups, changes, and deletions, in accordance with firm procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Administer Active Directory and Group Policy within a Server 20XX environment, optimizing system performance and security.
- Regularly evaluate and optimize server, network, and end-user systems to ensure peak performance, security, and reliability.
- Utilize VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon to manage virtual servers and desktops running on VMware ESXi in a clustered environment with network-attached storage.
- Maintain the firm's cybersecurity posture, protecting client data and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor network monitoring systems, ensuring alerts are functioning correctly and resolved in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain physical servers and workstations, performing monthly patching and necessary upgrades to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
- Monitor the network (LAN/WAN) for potential threats or errors, taking proactive measures to prevent issues.
- Administer Microsoft 365/Azure, including SMTP connection points, Mimecast Security Solution integration, and Exclaimer for signatures and taglines.
- Assist the IT Operations Director with surveys and compliance initiatives, ensuring the firm's adherence to client requirements.
- Serve as a backup IT contact for auditors, providing necessary support and information.
- Contribute to the management of the firm's disaster recovery and business continuity solution, ensuring readiness in case of an event.
- Manage the firm's GoTo VoIP system, including call trees, to ensure seamless communication.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a mid-sized organization, preferably in a hybrid cloud/physical server environment.
- 2+ years of direct customer support experience, with a proven track record of delivering excellent service.
- Ability to provide on-call support in conjunction with the IT Operations Director.
- Excellent understanding of software, hardware, networking, and IT security principles.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs.
- Experience with firewalls and VPN technologies utilizing 2-factor authentication.
- Familiarity with Network Access Control Systems.
- Proficiency with FortiGate firewalls and FortiGate VPNs.
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Understanding of scripting, automation, PowerShell, and Excel macros.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate productive working relationships.
- Adaptable and flexible attitude, with the ability to solve problems by examining issues from different angles.
- Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of mobile device management or endpoint management and security.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
