Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a fully remote position with a K-12 school district in Utah. Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher with VocoVision Teletherapy, you will be responsible for:
- Assessment Excellence: Assess students' skills and determine their educational needs, ensuring that each student receives a personalized and effective learning plan.
- Safe Space: Develop a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for students on your caseload, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes academic and social growth.
- Academic Achievement: Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to each student's abilities, promoting student motivation and engagement, and driving academic achievement.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor students' progress, adjusting instruction and lesson plans as necessary to ensure that each student meets their learning goals.
- Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate closely with school teams, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to education.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment and evaluation results, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in Special Education, ensuring that your skills and knowledge are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Active Maine Special Education Teaching License/Certification: A valid and active teaching license or certification in Special Education is required.
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, with expertise in IEPs, tracking student progress, and assessing student skills and learning requirements.
- Passion for Helping Others: A genuine passion for helping students overcome behavioral and academic challenges, and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable working remotely and having access to reliable internet and necessary computer equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and other professionals.
