**Why you'll love this role**
This position is a member of the Engineering Team within the Operations Division at arenaflex. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This role also involves developing and maintaining aircraft and part guidelines within areas of responsibility.
**What you'll do**
- Conducts training for Specialists in areas of expertise
- Serves as a mentor to other Engineers
- Acts as a team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution
- Collaborates with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, to ensure that technical procedures are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals
- Develops customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
- Remains informed about daily airline activities, including areas of responsibility. Reviews daily needs according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
- Investigates aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions
- Provides technical support as needed to restore operational status
- Responds to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues
- Develops activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part engineering projects and pursues completion according to evaluated needs
- Collaborates with other airline divisions, as required, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of technical procedures
- Develops technical documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
- Maintains knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all technical activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Utilizes available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also, endeavors to improve communication skills, utilizing time effectively and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
- Effectively interacts with senior colleagues and management
**All you'll need for success**
- Minimum Qualifications: Training and Prior Professional Experience
- Four-year degree in Engineering field or related Engineering license
- One year of engineering experience in a related field or two years of experience without a degree
- Abilities, Licenses, and Certifications:
- A&P license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated fitness, ability, and willingness to take on new jobs and responsibilities
- Ability to prepare/present presentations that promote acceptance of proposals
- Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively
