Currently, we are looking for an experienced Full Stack Payroll Specialist to work in the APAC region, with a focus on remote work.
About the Role
As a Full Stack Payroll Specialist at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee payroll, with a high degree of responsibility, discretion, and confidentiality. Your primary responsibilities will include payroll processing, compliance with relevant guidelines, and providing outstanding employee support on their queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for assigned APAC countries using a third-party payroll company.
- Manage weekly expenses through in-house processing via Workday host-to-host fee.
- Prepare, post payroll changes, new hires, and leavers for every entity to the payroll services timely through Workday HCM.
- Coordinate with payroll companies on timely payout to personnel and statutory payments.
- Carry out tasks associated with monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting and taxation.
- Serve as the point of contact for employees on payroll questions through the Zendesk ticketing system.
- Record, screen monthly payroll costs, and raise purchase orders.
- Report on payroll services' settlement renewal dates.
- Collaborate with Philippines and Singapore team members and follow global system alignment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting processing in a BPO or shared services environment.
- Experience working in APAC payroll, specifically in Korea, Australia, and India.
- Remarkable knowledge of payroll and associated statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations.
- Above-average proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Workday.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday HCM and payroll processing.
- Familiarity with APAC payroll laws and regulations.
- Certification in payroll or accounting (e.g., CPP, CPA).
