**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Control Standards and Compliance team as a Data Analyst Intern. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying trends and patterns in data to improve the quality control division. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* **Data Collection and Analysis**: Gather, organize, and analyze large datasets to identify areas of improvement and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
* **Reporting and Presentations**: Create and present complex data visualizations and reports to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders and business stakeholders.
* **Process Improvement**: Identify irregularities in processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve compliance.
* **Data Visualization**: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
* **Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless data flow and effective communication.
**Responsibilities and Expectations**
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern, you will be expected to:
* Perform and assist in ideal data collection, validation, and analysis on data components.
* Help create and present results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
* Assist in exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable senior leaders to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
* Present findings, patterns, and potential recommendations by utilizing data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
* Help create and disseminate specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
* Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team.
* Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for trends and errors.
* Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
* Perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or Computer Science.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
* Familiarity with data representation tools and capabilities, such as Alteryx, is a plus.
* Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
* Experience with PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is a plus.
* Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework are a plus.
* Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-based environment.
* Ability to focus on responsibilities seriously and be a self-motivated individual.
* Past internship experience in a related field is a plus.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
* Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
