Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct federal background investigations and compile comprehensive reports in line with Federal Investigative Standards and agency guidelines.
- Engage in travel to various workplaces, residences, and educational institutions within your designated geographic area, presenting each day as a unique investigative challenge.
- Utilize your problem-solving skills to ensure all reports adhere to federal requirements while maintaining utmost integrity and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, policies, and procedures, and apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and excellence in all investigations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in executing both in-person and remote interviews to gather detailed information regarding individuals' backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for crafting thorough investigative reports and interacting with a diverse range of individuals and agencies.
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel for investigative purposes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual support.
- Proficiency in using technology, including computers, software applications, and other tools, to conduct investigations and maintain records.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for local travel.
- Be equipped to work from home, including high-speed internet access and a fax line (a government-provided laptop will be supplied).
- Active Top-Secret Clearance, with the ability to maintain and upgrade clearance as required.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism.
