About the Role: Certified English Tutor (Remote)
As a Preply English tutor, you'll have the freedom to teach English online to students worldwide, setting your own schedule and hourly rate. You'll be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and supporting students in achieving their language learning goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, using Preply's integrated calendar to schedule lessons and set your availability
- Create your own lesson plans or utilize Preply's curriculum to deliver engaging and effective instruction
- Provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs and support their language learning goals
- Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars
- Track student progress, adjust your teaching approach as needed, and continually improve your teaching skills
- Engage with students, provide constructive feedback, and foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency)
- A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching
- Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably online
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
- A high-speed internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with online language teaching platforms or educational software
- A degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Experience working with students of varying ages, skill levels, and learning styles
