We're currently seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a 6-month contract with the opportunity for extension or conversion. As a key member of our Merchandise Planning Analytics team, you'll play a critical role in managing reporting, analysis, and tool building for our Merchandising team. Your expertise will support a team of 100+ merchants and 40+ planners to optimize performance of our Front End (non-Pharmacy) businesses.
**Work Environment:**
As a remote analyst, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. Our team operates in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone, and we require a minimum of 30 hours per week to fulfill business needs. You'll work a standard 8-hour day with a one-hour lunch break from 12 pm to 1 pm. While we're flexible, we expect you to be available during core hours to ensure seamless collaboration with our team.
**Responsibilities:**
As our ideal candidate, you'll be responsible for:
* Owning Brand (private label) reporting, recapping, tracking, and analysis, including ad-hoc analysis based on business needs
* Item-level historical analysis and recapping
* Item-level future-looking forecast
* Managing thousands of Own Brand items at the item level
* Utilizing Microsoft Excel to synthesize large data sets into meaningful executive recaps
* Developing complex Excel formulas to drive business insights
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders through Microsoft PowerPoint
**Top Must-Have Skills:**
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as analytics, data science, finance, financial analysis, assortment planning, retail, procurement/purchasing, or merchandising
* At least 3-5 years of experience in analytics, data science, finance, or a related field
* Strong understanding of retail merchandising basics, including category management and merchandising organization structures and processes
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with storytelling finesse
* Ability to conduct complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel
* Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
* Strong working relationships with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities
* Retail math background, including item-level forecasting, sales by type, and AUR impacts
* Intermediate to advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, including SUM/SUMIFS, Subtotals, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, and Pivot tables
**Top Nice-to-Have Skills:**
While not required, the following skills will be highly valued:
* MBA or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and/or other quantitative analytical degree
* Data science experience
* Retail experience
* SQL Coding, Microsoft Access, and Macro building skills
**Education / Experience Requirements:**

* 3-5 years of experience in Analytics or Data Science
* A Merchandising background
