- Creating new member accounts and reviewing/updating demographic and personal health information
- Verifying insurance information and processing documentation, such as Advanced Beneficiary Notifications and Certificates of Medical Necessity
- Communicating professionally with members, caregivers, and medical professionals to provide updates on account statuses and resolve issues
- Documenting all interactions in patient medical records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Collaborating with Team Support and Team Leads as needed to resolve complex issues and improve processes
- Building proficiency and knowledge of all product lines serviced by blithequark
- Submitting reports and productivity tracking to leaders as requested
- Adhering to all company policies, including building entry, compliance, and system security policies
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a private work area, high-speed internet, and a computer (laptop or desktop) with a second monitor, microphone, and camera
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and calmly by phone
- Be able to effectively use computer systems and maintain accurate records
Preferred qualifications include:
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
- Previous experience with HIPAA compliance and electronic health records
