Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying and revifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to patients, ensuring timely and efficient processing of specialty medications
• Verify and revify benefits, process new patient medication orders and reorders, and enter prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure seamless fulfillment of specialty medications
• Obtain authorizations, collect copay amounts, and work with internal teams to screen, identify, and resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues

Qualifications and Requirements

• One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone
• One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
• One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude
• A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
