Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing tests for products and systems, collaborating with other engineering departments as necessary, and applying specific functional knowledge and industry best practices to drive success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing manual or automated test scripts, including test plans and test cases
- Configuring and maintaining automated test scripts and test environments
- Implementing incremental automation test scripts in an Agile team cadence
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
- Analyzing and reporting test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve testing processes and procedures
Essential Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree and 2-4+ years of directly related experience, or a Master's degree and 0-2+ years of directly related experience
- 2+ years of experience with automation testing, including experience with writing test plans, test cases, and executing manual or automated test scripts
- Experience with developing and configuring automated test scripts, including experience with SDLC and implementing incremental automation test scripts in an Agile team cadence
- Knowledge of automation frameworks, data-driven and keyword-driven UI automation, and experience with automation tools, including Selenium, UFT, RFT, and GIT (version control)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, specifically IRS MBI clearance
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
While not required, the following qualifications and certifications are preferred:
- Experience with DevOps concepts and integrating regression tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline and build process
- Experience with implementing a test automation suite to validate COTS and 3rd party products
- Knowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunner
- Agile or SAFe certifications
- Testing or Agile Automation testing training/certification
- Relevant COTS product training (e.g., PEGA)
