Job Highlights and Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Teaching Professor of Soil Science to join our team of dedicated educators and researchers. This is a non-tenure-line, 100% teaching faculty position paid on a 48-week academic year appointment with a fixed-term (3 year), renewable contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of undergraduate courses in soil science, including Soils 071 – Environmental Sustainability, Soils 101 - Introductory Soil Science, Soils 102 – Introductory Soils Science Laboratory, and ERM 440 – Chemistry of the Environment: Soil, Water, and Air.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in soil science or a closely related discipline. A record of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required, and applicants who have demonstrated novel active learning approaches and shown commitment to hands-on lab and field experiences for students will be given priority. The successful candidate must have completed all degree requirements by the appointment date.
