Job Summary
As a Data Analyst in the Operations Analytics team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Your expertise in data analysis, data visualization, and communication will enable you to effectively communicate insights to senior leaders and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and extract data from various sources to support analysis, modeling, and project development.
- Clean and curate datasets by identifying new data sources and collaborating with business stakeholders to determine the best source of data.
- Develop and maintain automated reports and analyses to support divisional leaders and business stakeholders.
- Leverage emerging technologies and innovative approaches to communicate data and analysis that meet business needs.
- Support strategy development and project management engagements for business stakeholders and cross-divisional initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior team members in various skills and subjects.
- Practice safety-aware behaviors in all operational activities and procedures.
- Prioritize team success and collaborate with business stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, ask questions, and communicate ideas and insights.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and tight deadlines.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, operations research, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot a reporting database environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines.
- Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other applicable quantitative field.
- Previous airline experience.
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure, AWS, GPC, etc.).
