College Marketing Representative - Seattle

Promote and support The Orchard’s artists through digital and in-person marketing in college towns, gaining hands-on music industry experience. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Create awareness of The Orchard’s artists by building relationships with local influencers such as college radio stations, DJs, student organizations, and local media. • Maintain a local social media presence promoting artists using supplied digital assets and original content. • Implement in-person marketing initiatives at record stores, lifestyle shops, and on campus. • Research apps, forums, and networks targeting the 18-24 demographic for each artist. • Research and attend local and campus events to promote artists effectively. • Attend artists' shows to distribute promotional materials and gather fan feedback. • Submit detailed reports on marketing successes and initiatives for each campaign. About You The company is looking for: • Undergraduate student enrolled in a 4-year university in Seattle or Los Angeles with at least 2 years remaining before graduation. • Ability to manage own hours and be accountable for assigned work. • Passion for music, understanding of peer music discovery and consumption, and interest in music business and marketing. • Knowledge of social media marketing, current on trends, and active content creator on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. • Availability of 20 hours per week. • Well-written, well-spoken, team player, and excellent communicator. • Transportation available and residence within 30 minutes of Seattle or Los Angeles. • Flexible schedule for team conference calls and tour coverage.
