Manage and optimize cloud-based databases for IBM and its clients.
Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and effective usage.
Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address clients' data needs.
Design and implement database solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud database management.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and policies.
Perform regular database backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Ensure data security and compliance with company and industry standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and clients.
Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance database performance and reliability.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of new database tools and technologies.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to manage and maintain database infrastructure.
Train and mentor junior database administrators.
Act as a subject matter expert on Db2, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL databases.
