The Psychology Department at Lindenwood University is one of the most popular and thriving programs, with a faculty of six full-time members representing the main sub-disciplines in the field. The department is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education in psychology, preparing them for a wide range of careers and further academic pursuits.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses (12 credit hours) each semester, including Abnormal Psychology, Personality, Introduction to Psychology, and/or special topics in their area of expertise. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. The Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin in Fall 2024. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or PsyD in Psychology with a specialization in clinical or counseling psychology, although other applied areas of psychology will also be considered.
A PhD or PsyD in Psychology with a specialization in clinical or counseling psychology (preferred) or other applied areas of psychology. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues. They will also have strong decision-making and analytical skills, be proficient in current technology, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
