Responsibilities

Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) in Chesapeake, VA, has an immediate need for an IT Technician 2 with demonstrated experience providing general infrastructure support, including responding to and updating trouble calls; performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems; and performing repair activities in order to return equipment, systems or... networks to normal operational status. Primary responsibilities include:
? Remotely conduct troubleshooting and perform break/fix activities on MSC shipboard IT networks using a satellite connection to connect, login, and conduct work
? Coordinate remote support needed with StratasCorp Technician Dispatcher and Remote Administration team, as well as shipboard crew, to ensure work performed is in line with contract priorities
? Gather data as needed and provide to StratasCorp teams to respond to data calls
? Prepare and provide daily work reports
? Must possess current IAT II certification, including an appropriate Computing Environment certification, in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
? Must have 5 years of progressive IT technical experience in an enterprise-scale environment
? Must possess knowledge or skillset in some or all of the following areas: Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016), Windows Workstation (7/10), virtualization technologies (VMWare Server/Microsoft Hyper-V), computer network troubleshooting, Microsoft Active Directory (user and group administration), Microsoft Exchange (2007/2010/2016
