Inside Sales Representative - Hair Industry
About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our fast-growing haircare brand. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing B2B accounts, reactivating dormant relationships, and maximizing the value of every customer interaction. This is a virtual/phone-based role, ideal for a sales professional who thrives on building meaningful client relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing sales — all while working in the exciting, fast-paced world of beauty. Key Responsibilities: • Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing retail and professional hair salon accounts. Build trust-based relationships to drive loyalty and repeat business. • Lead Follow-Up & Conversion: Respond promptly to inbound leads and inquiries. Qualify prospects, understand their needs, and guide them through the sales process to conversion. • Upselling & Order Optimization: Identify opportunities to increase the average order value (AOV) by recommending complementary products, promotional bundles, or exclusive offerings that align with customer needs. • Dormant Account Re-engagement: Analyze customer data to identify dormant or inactive accounts. Proactively reach out with personalized offers, new product updates, and relationship-building efforts to reinitiate business. • Product & Brand Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the brand’s products, ingredients, and positioning. Use this expertise to educate clients and recommend tailored solutions that meet their unique business goals. • CRM & Reporting: Diligently maintain accurate records in our CRM system, documenting all communications, pipeline updates, and sales activity. Provide regular reporting on progress toward KPIs and sales targets. • Collaboration with Marketing & Field Teams: Coordinate with marketing to align on campaigns and promotions. Share feedback from customers to support product development and marketing strategy. • Customer Service & Support (B2B & B2C): Deliver exceptional service to all clients — from salon owners and wholesale buyers to individual beauty consumers. Assist with order inquiries, product recommendations, returns, and resolution of any issues in a professional and timely manner. Act as a brand ambassador who reflects the values, tone, and commitment to quality that our customers expect. Provide post-sale support to ensure satisfaction, build long-term loyalty, and encourage repeat business. Work cross-functionally with fulfillment and customer experience teams to resolve escalations when needed. Qualifications: • Minimum 2+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in a B2B or product-based environment. • Experience in the beauty industry (professional or retail side) is strongly preferred. • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. • Strong phone presence and the ability to engage and influence decision-makers remotely. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Comfort working independently in a remote sales role. • Experience with CRM platforms (Netsuite) is a plus. • Passion for the beauty industry and a genuine interest in skincare, haircare, cosmetics, or wellness products.
