GIS and Survey Mapping Intern
WBS, a WEC Energy Group subsidiary, seeks a GIS and Survey Mapping Intern for summer 2026 in Green Bay, WI, offering hybrid work and $20.30/hr pay. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Assist in collecting and processing geospatial data related to real estate assets, land use, and utility infrastructure • Support the development and maintenance of GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for real estate management and utility planning • Assist in interpreting and processing survey data to create CAD drawings (e.g., property boundaries, easement maps, site plans) using CAD software • Collaborate with real estate managers, engineers, and surveyors to ensure drawings and maps meet project specifications and regulatory standards • Help prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and support decision-making processes • Stay updated on the latest developments in GIS technology, CAD software, and industry practices relevant to real estate and utility management About You The company is looking for: • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Real Estate, or related major with graduation after June 2026 • Minimum GPA of 2.8 • Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies • Preferred: Basic knowledge of GIS and CAD software (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD) • Preferred: Familiarity with utility infrastructure planning, real estate management, or urban planning • Preferred: Experience with remote sensing, spatial analysis, or 3D modeling • Preferred: Knowledge of land surveying principles and practices Compensation & Benefits • Hourly rate starting at $20.30, with a maximum of $23.43 • Paid company holidays • Flexible hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time in Green Bay office Training & Development • Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard GIS and CAD software • Learn integration of geospatial technology in real estate, land development, and utility infrastructure planning • Develop skills in spatial analysis, data management, and map production • Collaborate with professionals and contribute to real-world projects impacting public utilities This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible Report this job
