As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you will be an integral part of our Quality-driven team, working closely with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure that every interaction is exceptional. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Retail Customer Service Associate – Print, Signs & Graphics, and Shipping Expert, your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing exceptional customer service by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs * Demonstrating expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines, recommending appropriate blithequark products and services to meet customer needs * Taking complex customer orders using order systems and providing accurate pricing information * Assembling parcels and preparing goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels * Setting up and operating printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents * Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment * Processing financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change * Cleaning, repairing, and stocking all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability * Staying current on retail store merchandising materials and ensuring proper display of all retail area product and signage * Taking preemptive action to prevent errors and waste * Completing required financial paperwork and assisting with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits **Essential Qualifications and Requirements** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent education * 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer service environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods * Ability to move and lift 55 pounds * Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees * Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members * Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction * Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure * Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time * Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision * Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the blithequark business **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment * Knowledge of printing, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines * Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions * Ability to work in a team environment and provide training to colleagues * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills and careers.
