Our Specialty Testing team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to patients and clients, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our services. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Support Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Specialty Testing team, you will be responsible for providing assistance to patients and clients, answering billing questions, and resolving reimbursement opportunities over the phone. This fast-paced work-from-home position requires a strong ability to work in a high call volume environment, navigate multiple systems and websites, and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Key Responsibilities: Ability to work in a high call volume environment, averaging ~75 calls per day from patients, doctor’s offices, and/or private insurance carriers Ability to research and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Ability to navigate and work on multiple systems/websites simultaneously Provide assistance to clients and patients regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations Assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Associate's degree with at least 1+ year of prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience Prior Healthcare experience strongly preferred, with a strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) strongly preferred Previous customer service experience handling high call volume strongly preferred Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes strongly preferred Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) preferred Working knowledge of prior authorization preferred Understanding of Women’s Health & Genetics processes preferred XIFIN experience preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Desired Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy Must be organized and detail-oriented Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience Physical and Remote Technical Requirements This is a remote position, and you will need to meet the following technical requirements: Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet You will also need to be able to work in a home office setting with minimal distractions and meet the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
