Job Overview As a Litigation Adjuster, your primary focus will be on investigating automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles, which result in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved. Your day will be filled with assessing coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service through various channels, including voice calls, emails, and text messages. Utilizing innovative platforms and tools, you will engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with all parties involved. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination. Key Responsibilities Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles, resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved. Assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service throughout the day. Communicate with customers and attorneys through different channels, including voice calls, emails, and text messages. Utilize innovative platforms and tools to engage in negotiation processes and reach fair injury settlements with all parties involved. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all claims activities in the claims system. Work independently and remotely, managing time efficiently to meet productivity and quality standards. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of essential and preferred qualifications. Essential qualifications include: Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and remotely. Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include: 5+ years of Litigation claim handling experience. NY/NJ/PA casualty Claim handling experience. Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately. Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation. Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Bodily Injury Claims: Experience in handling bodily injury claims, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. Business Communications: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, attorneys, and other stakeholders. Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully. Fraud Investigations: Knowledge of fraud investigation techniques and procedures. Information Collection: Ability to collect and analyze information to make informed decisions. Litigation: Experience in handling litigation claims, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively to meet productivity and quality standards.
