About the Role As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our customers, addressing their inquiries, and providing timely solutions. Key Responsibilities Answer calls from participants regarding initial and continuing eligibility for income maintenance programs related to medical services Gather, verify, evaluate, and enter necessary social, financial, and medical information into various applications Maintain complete and accurate computerized records of participant interactions Perform a variety of diverse tasks while continuing to maintain currency and accuracy of program requirements Ensure timely processing of participant inquiries/annual reviews to meet client needs and program mandates Meet or exceed daily standards for performance, accuracy, customer service, and quality Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Basic office and computer skills Exceptional communications and customer service skills, including skills in handling client behaviors such as fear, hostility, and aggression Knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles used in the calculation of public assistance benefits High-speed internet, quiet space with a door to safeguard equipment, and modem/router to hardwire phone Knowledge of the general provisions, objectives, and philosophy of public assistance programs Ability to multitask and resolve issues when necessary Excellent attendance with no absences during the 6-8 week training period Clean background and ability to pass drug screening Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in customer service or a related field Knowledge of medical services and income maintenance programs Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills, including empathy, active listening, and problem-solving Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer applications and software Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
