Job Summary The E-Commerce Customer Business Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing blithequark's US e-commerce strategy, with a focus on Chewy.com and other key online platforms. This position requires a strong commercial awareness, marketing and sales background, and the ability to develop and execute sales and marketing plans that drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and building relationships with e-commerce accounts, providing P&L oversight, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets and category leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of blithequark's e-commerce strategy and sales plans with key customers, aligning with corporate goals and objectives Manage and build relationships with e-commerce accounts to deliver annual sales and profit targets, establishing short and long-term sales goals for all e-commerce products Provide P&L oversight for key accounts to maximize profitability by growing top-line sales and managing selling expenses Develop annual sales and marketing plans and budgets, recommending and managing pricing, trade budgets, and spending effectiveness Collaborate with Demand Planning to create annual forecasts and provide monthly updates and inputs to allow for timely adjustments and on-time delivery Organize and manage major projects, including channel/account-specific campaigns, and coordinate with Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance teams Collaborate with Marketing to provide strategic and tactical input, set advertising budgets, and commercial plans that drive business with online customers Advise Marketing on market demand and insights, promotional opportunities, and future campaign ideas, incentives, and bonus offers Oversee brand protection and collaborate with Brand Protection and Marketing to remedy problems Communicate with other departments within the organization to foster teamwork and effectiveness Understand competitors in specific markets and develop strategies that position blithequark's brands as category leaders Essential Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of e-commerce sales and account management experience, domestically or internationally Commercial awareness, marketing, and sales background preferred Pet category experience is a plus In-depth understanding of developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns Strong commercial and analytical skills, with extensive experience working with Excel to conduct analysis and detailed sales reports Strong written and oral communication skills Proficient in English, with a second language being helpful Working knowledge of e-commerce contracts and understanding of the Terms and Conditions by which everyday business is conducted Knowledge of web promotion strategies, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google/Yahoo/MSN ad words, and pay-per-click campaigns Proficient in Microsoft suite Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or marketing-related discipline, with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training Experience working with e-commerce platforms, such as Chewy.com and Petmeds.com Knowledge of the pet nutrition industry and trends Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will possess: Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with e-commerce accounts and cross-functional teams Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
