Job Summary As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data entry processes. You will be responsible for entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems, transmitting information or documents using a computer, and reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our databases and providing exceptional support to our team. Key Responsibilities Enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball to update records, files, reservations, and answer inquiries from guests Verify information in documents or on computer screens, including text, printed forms, and lists for accuracy and completeness Operate standard office equipment other than computers such as telephone, typewriter, fax, photocopier, calculator, and electronic peripherals Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings Follow all blithequark safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in data entry or administrative support preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Post-secondary education in a related field such as business administration or computer science Experience with computer systems and software applications Knowledge of data entry principles and practices Certification in data entry or a related field Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Technical skills: proficiency in computer systems and software applications, data entry principles and practices Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests Organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Attention to detail: strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with others, support team goals, and contribute to a positive work environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
