About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Entry and Administrative Assistant to join our Security Modernization Team, focused on Zero Trust Architecture Implementation (ZTAI). As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Project Manager and team members, ensuring the smooth execution of projects and tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the development of the ZTAI IPT PowerPoint, setting up project folders, making updates to processes, and performing general administrative duties. Key Responsibilities Support the development of the ZTAI IPT PowerPoint presentation for monthly meetings Set up project folders according to guidelines and maintain accurate records Make updates to processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices Process and input edits from multiple subject matter experts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Format and proofread reports using standard templates, ensuring high-quality output Manage multiple drafts and issue new versions as drafts develop, maintaining version control Perform other general administrative duties as requested by your supervisor or Project Managers Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Accounting, or other discipline Expertise in MS Word/Office, with strong background in proofreading, grammar, and formatting Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume environment, maintaining a calm and positive outlook Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment, with a proactive and flexible approach Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Previous experience with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customers Experience with PowerBI, Jira, or other project management tools Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture Implementation (ZTAI) or similar security modernization initiatives Clearance Requirements In addition to specific security clearance requirements, all CBP SOC employees are required to successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation to support this program.
