Your responsibilities will include: * **Leading joint business planning**: Collaborate with customers to develop and implement strategic plans that meet volume, profit, and share objectives. * **Managing supplier relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive business growth and optimize category performance. * **Utilizing sales planning tools**: Leverage our sales planning tool and customer investment system to create optimal customer plans and drive business results. * **Developing trade promotion strategies**: Work with customers to design and implement trade promotion strategies that drive volume, profit, and share growth. * **Conducting post-event analysis**: Evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit, and spending results versus plan, and leverage findings to maximize future promotional opportunities. * **Monitoring and managing deduction balances**: Ensure accurate and timely deduction balances, and conduct post-audits to identify areas for improvement. * **Leveraging digital shelf solutions**: Drive retail availability and additional product placements in-store through digital shelf solutions. * **Conducting category business reviews**: Analyze loyalty and syndicated data to discuss business trends, key drivers, and incremental opportunities with customers. * **Growing share online**: Utilize Category Management resources and loyalty data to drive online sales growth. * **Implementing brand strategies**: Work closely with customers to implement brand strategies and tactics, including category management initiatives and shopper and category knowledge. * **Developing and leading accurate monthly forecasts**: Track shipments, consumption data, and inventory changes to maximize supply chain efficiencies and identify potential risks or threats to monthly forecasts. * **Selling in new items**: Work with customers to achieve optimal distribution for new items, and collaborate with key customer personnel to drive business results. * **Leveraging Customer Marketing resources**: Develop and implement collaborative marketing programs online and in-store, in alignment with brand and customer strategies. * **Identifying profitable opportunities**: Grow incremental volume through data-driven insights and analysis. * **Assessing customer competitive position**: Understand how customers' competitive position, behaviors, and strategies align with company strategic digital goals, and determine appropriate investment strategies to support revenue, profit, and share growth. * **Developing productive working relationships**: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers within the customer's organizational structure. * **Managing numerous key customer touchpoints**: Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with customers across various touchpoints. * **Managing trade funding**: Adhere to company standards for trade funding, and ensure accurate and timely management of trade funding. * **Collaborating with the marketing team**: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement digital marketing, brand building, paid media, item reviews, and paid SEO strategies across digital channels. **Who you will work with** As a Customer Sales Lead, you'll interact with various stakeholders across the customer team, including Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, Customer Business Managers, and World Headquarter personnel. Your role will require varying degrees of cross-functional interaction, depending on the size, complexity, and strategic importance of the customer. **What you bring to the table** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **Minimum education**: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. * **Years of relevant experience**: 8+ years of experience in the CPG industry. * **Strong analytical thinking and analysis capability**: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights to drive business growth. * **Excellent problem-solving skills**: Ability to navigate complex business challenges and develop creative solutions. * **Strong interpersonal and influencing skills**: Ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. * **Category & Brand knowledge**: Familiarity with category management principles and brand strategies. * **Knowledge of Supply Chain operations**: Understanding of supply chain operations and logistics. * **P&L management experience**: Experience managing profit and loss statements and driving business growth through data-driven insights. * **Trade management system experience**: Familiarity with trade management systems and tools. **Nice to have** While not required, the following skills and experiences would be beneficial: * **Ability to negotiate**: Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with customers and suppliers. * **Knowledge of E-Commerce/Digital Shelf**: Understanding of e-commerce and digital shelf solutions, and ability to leverage these tools to drive business growth. * **Ability to penetrate and conduct customer meetings at high levels**: Experience building relationships with senior-level customers and conducting high-level meetings. * **Strong written and verbal communication skills**: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. * **Ability to pull/use syndicated data**: Familiarity with syndicated data tools, such as IRI, Nielsen, and 1010. **Compensation and Benefits** The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $109,700-$157,700. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
