Associate X-Force Cyber Range Consultant Intern
Join IBM as an Associate X-Force Cyber Range Consultant Intern to work on immersive cybersecurity scenarios and client projects in a hybrid role based in Washington, D.C. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Collaborate with the X-Force Cyber Range team on immersive elements or add-ons such as deepfake pipeline and content development • Research real-world cyberattacks and create engaging case studies for client engagements • Create and develop technical demos illustrating cybersecurity concerns to executive audiences, including operational technology virtualizations or attack flows • Assist with day-of engagement support to ensure a professional and client-focused experience • Think creatively to develop innovative ideas enhancing immersion and impact for clients About You The company is looking for: • Currently pursuing a university degree with a track record of academic success • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Curious, creative, and meticulous attention to detail • Understanding of different Operating Systems and potential security vulnerabilities • Knowledge of Python and Machine Learning • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during research • Basic competency in video and audio editing • Excellent writing and editing skills • Preferred: previous cybersecurity experience • Preferred: experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, PremierePro) • Preferred: knowledge of Powershell, Bash, Linux • Preferred: understanding of AI, Text-to-Speech, and Speech-to-Text technologies Compensation & Benefits • Projected salary range: $62,700 to $114,950 per year • Up to 8 paid holidays • Minimum of 56 hours paid sick time • IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Paid family medical leave and disability benefits where required by law Training & Development Interns will experience IBM’s culture of continuous learning, skill development, coaching, and mentorship.
